Overview

This user guide is intended to help the user take full advantage of the broad range of functionality associated with the SmartCash program.

SmartCash is an Internet based program that facilitates the processing of transactions between its dealers and its finance sources (Ally and Ally Bank).

Ally transactions processed though SmartCash net to a single amount and funds are settled through an ACH transaction or a non-ACH mechanism.  Ally transactions net separately from Ally Bank transactions.

All Ally Bank transactions processed through SmartCash net to a single amount and funds are settled through an ACH transaction.  Ally Bank transactions net separately from Ally transactions.

For ACH settlement, funds are either debited or credited to the dealer’s bank account on the next business day, except for bank and mandatory holidays. For Non-ACH settlement, funds are transferred in or transferred out of  a Credit Balance Agreement (CBA) or Cash Management Line of Credit (CMC).

To track SmartCash activity, the user is associated with a unique 12-digit dealer account number. The SmartCash program can accommodate multiple dealer account numbers for one dealer. The program can also associate a user with multiple dealer account numbers.

The SmartCash program is easy to use; it reduces operational burden and saves time by automating the following activities:

·         On-line transaction entry and reporting

·         Processing Demo vehicle transactions

·         Processing Shop Rental vehicle transactions

·         Processing Dealer Transfers

·         Search and download wholesale inventory

·         Search transactions for reconciliation

·         Floorplan and payoff wholesale inventory
