To search for a transaction, complete the following steps:
1. Place the cursor on the Search tab.
2. Click Transactions.
The Search Transactions screen displays.
3. Click either the Effective or the Entry radio button. The radio buttons determine whether the start and end dates are effective dates or entry dates.
Note: The effective date is the date the transaction was processed for settlement by the finance source. The entry date is the date the transaction was entered in the SmartCash program.
4. Type a date in the Start Date: and End Date: fields. The format for the Start Date: and End Date: fields is MM/DD/YYYY.
The system searches for all transactions between the two dates specified.
Note: The date range must be 120 days or less. In addition, the start date must be greater than the purge date that is displayed in the screen.
5. Click the drop-down arrow in the Txn Type: field and select the appropriate transaction type group. Select All to search all transactions.
6. Type the beginning range or the transaction in the first Amount Range: field and type the ending range for the amount of the transactions in the second Amount Range: field, if necessary.
Note: The Amount Range is limited to $1,000.00.
7. Type the VIN in the VIN: field, if necessary.
8. Type the Stock number in the Stock #: field, if necessary.
Note: The Stock #: field defaults to All. Limited to alphanumeric.
9. Click the Search button.
The Transaction Search Results screen displays all transactions that matched the selected criteria. Click the Print button to print the results. Click the Close button to close the Transaction Search Results screen.
