Selecting a Dealer Account Number

A user may be associated with more than one dealer account number. When a user accesses SmartCash, the Dealer Selection screen displays enabling the user to select the appropriate dealer account number. The PDN/Dlr Name Search: field is also displayed and allows the user to search the Dealer Selection list by the primary dealer number and/or dealer name.

Once the user is in SmartCash, the Acct #/Dlr. Name: selection box always displays the current dealer account, even if the user is associated with only one dealer account number. The PDN/Dlr Name Search: field also displays beside the Acct #/Dlr. Name: selection box.

To select a dealer account number, complete the following steps on the Dealer Selection screen:

1.      Click the drop-down arrow in the selection box or use the PDN/Dlr Name Search: field to find the desired dealer account based on the primary dealer number and/or dealer name.

The dealer account numbers you are associated with or have filtered for display.

2.      Select the appropriate dealer account number.

The dealer account number selected displays in the selection box.

3.      Click the Submit button.

The SmartCash Home screen displays.

Note: The selected dealer account number displays in the Acct#/Dlr. Name: selection box in the upper right-hand corner of the SmartCash window. Refer to the Editing Dealer Profile section for information on assigning a account nickname to the dealer account.

 

At any time, a user can switch to a different dealer account number. To change the selected dealer account number, complete the following steps:

1.      Click the drop-down arrow in the Acct #/Dlr. Name: field.

The dealer account numbers you are associated with display.

Note: The PDN/Dlr Name Search: field appears beside the Acct#/Dlr. Name: selection box. It allows the user to search the Acct#/Dlr. Name: selection box list by the primary dealer number and/or dealer name.

2.      Select the appropriate dealer account number.

A confirmation message displays asking you to confirm you want to switch dealer accounts. If you click the OK button, all unsaved data will be lost.

After clicking on the OK button, the SmartCash Home screen displays with the selected dealer account number.
