The SmartCash program uses a standardized process for entering transactions. For each transaction entered in SmartCash the user will:
· Enter and validate the transaction information
· Confirm the transaction request
· Edit or delete the transaction information, if necessary
Users can enter transactions for the current business day up to cutoff time, which is 3:00 PM ET. Fifteen minutes prior to the cutoff time, the SmartCash program displays a warning message above the tabs, counting down the remaining minutes before the cutoff time expires for the current day’s transactions.
For example:
WARNING: Less than {X} minutes remaining before cutoff for the current business day of (xx/xx/xxxx)
When the SmartCash system has completed processing transactions for the current business day, a new message displays:
WARNING: Current day cutoff has expired. Transactions entered will be reflected on the next business day of (xx/xx/xxxx)
Note: The above cutoff time messages only display if the next effective date is not the same as the current effective date (for example if there was a bank or branch holiday).
If the cutoff has been reached and there is a Branch transfer in process, no transaction entry is allowed.
