Entering Wholesale Rental Plan Transactions

 To enter a wholesale rental plan transaction, complete the following steps.

Note: Changing the Rental Plan status of a wholesale vehicle is considered a non-monetary transaction and will not be reflected in the SmartCash balance bar.

1.      Place the cursor on the Transaction tab.

The types of transactions you can enter display below the tabs.

2.      Place the cursor on Wholesale.

The types of Wholesale transactions display.

3.      Click Rental Plan.

The Wholesale Rental Plan a Vehicle: Enter VIN screen displays.

4.      Type the VIN in the VIN field. Only the last six characters of the VIN are required. Up to five VINs can be entered at one time.

5.      Click the Submit button.

The Wholesale Rental Plan a Vehicle: Request Change screen displays. All transactions will be selected (checked) for processing.  If a transaction should not be processed, unselect (uncheck) the transaction.

Note: To view wholesale unit information for a vehicle, click the VIN. A separate window will display information associated with the vehicle.

6.      Click the drop-down arrow in the Transaction Type field and select the new status

7.      Click the drop-down arrow in the W/S Dlr # field and select the new Wholesale dealer. Wholesale Dealer Number drop down is populated after Transaction Type is selected.

8.      Type the date the change will take effect in the Effective Date of Change field. The format for the Effective Date of Change field is MM/DD/YYYY.

9.      Click the drop-down arrow in the Term field and select the new Term for Rental Plan unit.

10.      Click the Submit button.

The Wholesale Rental Plan a Vehicle: Confirm Change screen displays with a message indicating that the request has been processed. Refer to the Editing Transactions section for information about making changes to a transaction. Refer to the Deleting Transactions section for information about deleting a transaction.
